Champagne, brioche, smoked salmon and scrambled eggs for breakfast is
    always my favourite part.

Which, this year, I shall be tucking into at the Meridien Beach Resort
    and Spa, Dubai.

spooky - champagne and smoked salmon and scrambled eggs has long been a
traditional Christmas morning breakfast for me too.

Hadn't thought to have brioche along with it, but it sounds like a
    plan.

  6. Sausage sarnies and beer for me. If I can be arsed to get out of bed
before noon (not having sprogs helps, obv.)

It's so long since I spent xmas _not_ on a skiing trip I can't think
what I'd view as traditional if I was at home - definitely champagne,
of course, and the rest of it sounds pretty nice, although I'd not
have the brioche _with_ the egss etc. as I don't like to mix sweet
    with savoury.

  8. You show your ignorance again. Brioche is not only a sweet cake.

Lightly toasted is nice. I like my scrambled eggs wet, too. And my
    champagne in reasonable quantities.

    Turkey and cranberry sauce?
    Pork and apple sauce?
    Lamb and mind sauce?

He didn't say it was a sweet "cake". He said it was sweet. It is.

    Why are you so bitter?

Ah, **** it. I only whipped out of the k/f yesterday because I was
full of the joys of spring and goodwill to fellow men, etc. Already
I'm bored of your petty, pathetic whining and sniping.

Ace is a fine, fine chap, and one I'm happy to think of as a friend.
I can't understand why you dislike him so.

Don't bother answering; you're going back in the k/f.

  14. No it's fucking not, you cretin. There is a 'sweet' version, and there is
    a version that isn't sweet.
Go and **** yourself, you wanker. Very, very hard.
    Like I give a flying ****.

What it is with these twats on this newsgroup who think that announcing
that they've killfiled, will make our lives unbearable ?

    Get over yourself, mate.

OK, OK, I get the point. But I'd prefer nice crispy bread with the
aforementioned breakfast, is all. There's something about sweet things
on eggs & bacon etc. that really turns me off, like the merkin idea of
syrup with everything and oversweet bread for toast. Bluegh.

The brioche works quite well, really. Because it's got egg in it, I
    suppose.
That's all neg. The septics don't really know how to do a breakfast,
    do they, bless them.

Well that thought provoking and intellectual response has convinced me that
you're not bitter in any way at all.

    Well done.
