  4. To the idea? or the tinyurl?

well, the link to my suggestion is, can't vouch for the rest of the
site. Spose I could have made that a bit clearer. Still could have been
    pron.

both. Don't approve of tinyurls and also if I wanted marmite I'd want
    it thick.

    semantic space pollution.
"if I wanted". It's not very likely.

  10. ?? sorry, you'll have to elaborate. Pollution because the URL itself
    is meaningless?

I actually like the random smeariness of Marmite on buttered bread or
toast. One bite is snappy and tangy, the next is soothing and buttery...

    err, yes.

URLs are primarily "addresses", but they're more useful when they've
got an active semantic component. The short ones are a waste of space,
even though they're small, because they don't add anything to the map
of representational ontology that is our perception of the internet.

  14. I do indeed, especially if cream cheese is used instead of butter.
Philadelphia kind of stuff, not direylea.

Champ was seen penning the following ode to ... whatever:
That they do, plus access to tinyurl is blocked by the work proxy
    servers, which sucks even more.

Don't be daft, food of the gods it is. When Will gets a telescope big
enough to see right to the end of the universe he'll be able to see all the
deities sat in nirvana eating marmite buttys.

you're saying meaningless things can be valuable if they're useful?
Isn't that like "the medium is message" but inside out?

Anyway, even if it made sense, your argument in support of tinyurls
etc. would only hold water if they were only applied to URLs with
    multiple/abstract parameters, which they aren't.
