Armco is Sweller, Ogden is bus stop, scaffold lorry is Andrew R.

A place for everything, and everything in it's place. :)

I'm not as up with the UKRM plot as some, but I'd rather got the impression
that an Ogden moment was "Shit, I'm heading for the nuns!".

That's an Ace moment. Replace 'armco' with '5 deep queue of nuns' for
    the full Ogden effect.

I have absolutely no recollection of that. When (and who) was it?

Yes, but really, I don't remember the incident as described.

I remember a slight incident in the Ardennes when I cocked up an uphill
right hander when I probably shouldn't even have been riding at all
after the night before, but that didn't involve armco. The lack of armco
was kind of the problem, given the massive cliff I just avoided riding
    off.

Thanks for being our map man for most of the journey; the roads
were pretty damn good and the views amazing. I was happy just
to sit at the back and follow and enjoy the trip.
The large (22.2L!!) tank is good for 200 miles apparently [1] and
at only $799 it might be added to the list of purchases to make
    that bike almost a tourer!

Confirmed by previous owner - larger rear sprocket.

So, being a numpty, I know little of what this achieves. Am I better
off going back to standard (the previous owner has one!) or shall I
    invest in a speedo-healer?

Anyone care to explain the fizzics of it?
