Pheasant that it. I was bombing along on my T/Bird and the silly bird
dived out of the hedge and knocked my lhs mirror and clutch lever
vertical. It then bounced and hit me. Ouch.

Glad you didn't get knocked off though. Mind ewe, they're a bit smaller than
    badgers.

    Yeah they hurt don't they? - although I didn't hit a pheasant myself, I

I believe the states that if you kill it you can't eat it.

Where are the lawyers when you need one. You wait and wait then three
    come along together.

No, Bear jumped off the badger - not the other way round.

ie. Bear rode _over_ the badger.

IME of various woodland fowl, they seem to fly up at the worst possible
moment to cause maximum head/upper body/fairing carnage :)

  15. IANAL, but I thought you could 'go back' and get roadkill, but you
can't stop there and then to pick it up. Which kind of relies on it a)
not becoming pancake shaped before oyu get back, and b) not being
picked up by someone else who didn't hit it.

Do you know what it feels like when you hit your nuts on the petrol
tank if you stop a bit too quickly? Well, it feels the same with
    boobs....It hurts like hell.
