There's an upside: develop post-trauma stress and spend your notice period
    on the sick.

If you make a comment regarding a "prior claim" like the one above, I
don't see it as unreasonable to expect you to be able to substantiate
your comment. Or do you expect me to trawl through every post to
uk.r.m. made since 01/01/07 in the hope of being able to do it for
    you?

Bloody hell glad nothing's broken but I bet it's hurting more this
    morning. GWS etc.

I probably shouldn't give advice but if this isn't the first time you
had this type of accident maybe it's your riding style.
My three accidents, bike and car have been shunts, this tells me I
drive to close to the guy in front, something I try to fix.

If cars pull out in front of you, maybe you ride too close to the kerb,
of course you could just be unlucky.
I normally ride pretty much down the centre line of the road in towns
This gives me more space to avoid an accident like that and more chance
    a driver will see me.
This probably works for drivers coming towards me who are thinking of
    turning right too.

Belief of a prior claim is what I had and only a belief. I have been
round here too long to not be silly enough to make unsubstantiated
claims about stuff when I know I am on dodgy ground and as one new year
looks much the same as the next to me so from my point of view it might
have been the draggings up from previous history visited upon me again
by a vindictive id and it is reasonable for me to assume that what I
think is true might not be. So I do.

    Sometimes.

Yebbut it is wholly unreasonable for you expect me to substantiate a
figment of my imagination. Downright cruel that is, you should be
ashamed of yourself treating an old man like that. You kids today have
no respect. Disgusting I calls it.

Snot me you have to do it for is it? It is for truth justice and,
sadly, those unseen brothers and sisters who cannot be with us today
because they have much better things to do. Is that not worth five
minutes of your time? Think of the pleasure it would give to cat owners
    everywhere.

It was but plenty of codeine and voltarol's doing the business thankfully.
Probably the latter, though ill wait and see how the next one pans out :)
I always ride slightly to the right of centre in my lane, always have always
will. Ive seen too many others, both motorbikes and scooters literally
riding by the kerb, one to the point of riding between the double yellow
lines!!! **** that, I paid attention on my CBT i did!
I was about 20 ish yards behind a car travelling in my direction, and in my
position, i was probably blocked by it, from his point of view. I suspect he
looked right, saw the car (but not me), looked left to see a gap ( a car
just crested the hill giving him what he thought would be ok) as the car in
front of me goes past him (he's not yet looked right again), then floored it
into me all in the same movement :-(
I think it was the classic, "look right, look left, didn't look right again"
    scenario :-(

IWHT that you, of all people would be familiar with the work of
Vatsyayana - Part Five in particular. That is certainly where I first
    encountered the term, anyway.
That would have been a right cockup, now wouldn't it?
