My favourite bit of Christmas ...

.... is leaving one bit of shopping till the last minute, so you have an
excuse to wheel the bike out on Christmas Eve and go and breeze past all of
the cagers sitting in long queues to get into/parked in/out of a popular
    shopping venue.

Today was an absolutely top day for it; mild, dry, busy enough to be
amusing, but not so busy that I couldn't have fun with some higher speed
    jinks.

So, kudos to the lads in the blue Escort, bearing a "Geordie Bad Lads"
sticker, for leaning out of the window to give me a thumbs up as I went past
    at Eeek! MPH.

A festive, "Please don't do that again", to the green Rover driver, who came
as close as anybody has to wiping me out when he reversed off his drive in
    front of me.

And, to you lot, each and every one of you, my Christmas wish for all of you
is that, come what may, you never lose what brought us all here in the first
place; a love of motorbikes, a love of the freedom and the thrills that they
bring, a love of being a bit different from the herd and, of course, the
    love of good company.

A merry Christmas and a happy, and upright, New Year to you all.

AOL, but I don't think buying 2 tubs of cream and putting them in the top
box before taking the long route home was my best idea of the day :)

Annoyingly we were too organised this year. I did it last year
though, and it rocks mightily :)

I saw loads of bikes in Shrewsbury today doing much the same. I started
watching one bloke on a big Jap cruiser attempting to reverse his bike into
an amply-sized parking space - but he was making such a hash of it I had to
move on as I was starting to feel embarrassed for him.
Not so fast you couldn't read the sticker though eh?!! ;-P
*wince* - that could have blemished Xmyth somewhat.
    AOL - well said.
And the same to you and yours - and to everyone else on the ng.

I knew that _somebody_ would say that.

I'd been sitting behind them at the previous roundabout and read the sticker
    then.
