Buell Lightnings haven't had carbs since 1998. The new ones don't have the
same frame (gas is in the frame, the "tank" is an air cleaner; oil is in the
swingarm) and the engine has been significantly altered.

Sheer poetry. Although I did miss his usual masturbation reference, he
made up for it quite well with the whole dog dragging his ass because of
    swollen glands parallel.
    I give it a 9.3

My little brother has a first gen Buell. Thing pulls like a tractor. Arms
go straight, the head whips back, the wind pushes your helmet off your head,
and you're grinning the whole time.

I wish that H-D would put the water cooled motor in a RR chassis... I can
see some nice bodywork smoothing things out that just ain't possible now.
Makes more sense to me than that air cooled dinosaur.

  7. Only the BeeLast, which I've ridden and loathed. Any 500cc which
makes less power than an EX250 deserves to have a .44 magnum slug
through the engine block, just to put it out of its misery.

    Good point...
Since a MotoGP 250cc racer puts out over 200 horsepower should I shoot
a Hayabusa? 1300cc's and it 'only' puts out 160 horsepower.
    Whatajoke...

  11. You wouldn't be smiling if you were riding a 25 hp bike on the
freeway, trying to keep up with the demo-ride group with the throttle
    pinned open in third.

The BeeLast is an abomination, only due to the engine. With the GS500
engine or the EX500, or say the Rotax 650 single, it would have
    rocked!

    A. There is no such thing as a MotoGP 250cc racer

    B. A 250cc GP bike makes around 90-95hp

    C. A MotoGP 4-stroke liter bike puts out in the neighborhood of 220hp

    Helpfully,

Geez. How fast do you ride?

25 Horsepower ain't bad. I know a couple who rode to Surgis together
out of N. California. She was on an 883 Sporty and he as on her
NightHawk 250 with 16 horsepower! (His bike (HD) was in Austrailia) He
said it kept up just fine. 70-75 mph all the way there and back.
