It's the reflection from my cheeks. It took 90 sodding minutes of
trying to locate three prongs and the two air ducts at the same time,
then hold it in place while you try to get a bolt in to secure the
    bastard.

It's only then you realise the alarm LED and the parking light aren't
working. So, you pop it back off in under a second (i.e. release
pressure), replace the parking bulb and sod the LED, then another 30
mins of swearing, muttering and pleading. After this, have the bright
idea of attaching the ducts to the fairing first, thus only having to
    locate three pegs.

Rejoice as it goes on in about 3 minutes of persuading, then realise
that you can only fit the air-duct securing post with either the front
or side fairing off, prefferably the former. Weep.

After another 15 minutes feel happy again after removing the side,
fitting the peg, then re-fitting the side. On with the LHS mirror, LHS
fairing and screen. This leaves RHS fairing and mirror, heatshields
and foam for fairing and bellypan and a bar end, which are being picked
    up on Saturday.

After tidying up I immediately laid into a hoegaarden, and this leffe
    is following nicely.

  7. We'll be riding down from Harrogate just after lunch on Saturday if you
(lot?) wanted to buzz across and ride down with us.

We've got a route that avoids much motorway in favour of the A628
(Barnsley-Glossop road), then down through Buxton.

The offers open to anyone else who wants to meet at our, or somewhere along
    the way.

I'll be taking it easy(ish) as the R1 has shown the first signs of "98-99 R1
second gears fucked disease". Expensive engine out job happening soon (

Providing everything papery is sorted out in time, I'll give it a go.

  9. Cool )

I've just put up a new post to see if there are any other takers. It'd be
nice to get a bit of a group riding down.
