Top fucking drawer, 700 miles in two days...

I had a right laugh coming down from Scotland, nipped via seahouses etc,
great roads round those parts, the handling is nothing short of go-kart...

Mind you, today was a less pleasant experience, 27 degrees, humid as **** &
raining....no roof down & aircon on the toast.

Only fault i have found so far on a £1300 car...not bad at all.

Also, the service history is bloody mad, new engine two years ago :)

Needs the alloys re-finishing if i'm picky..

Took me a while to work out where the sound from the radio was coming
    from...headrest speakers :)

Well, that was until i parked it up & detatched the flip front radio...it
wasnt flip front, no wonder it was a bit stiff :) New Sony installed today.

Make sure you don't find out it doesn't have ABS the hard way.

What tyres has it got on Nige?

I'm coming to terms with the Pirellis on mine. They aren't too bad
    once good and hot.

The lack of ABS on mine has to be factored in to spirited progress
    though.

  13. Nige would have been better with one of these for £1500 ......four seats
.........he doesn't look like a hairdresser.......he looks like somebody who
passed his bike test in 1968 ...

You're completely missing the point of MX5s. I suggest you go drive one
down a twisty road then come back to continue the discussion. They're
quite possibly the best sportscar ever made, straight out of the Colin
Chapman mould. If you seriously think a Mustang is a viable alternative
as a trackday car, you're clearly insane.

    And you have, presumably.

I ask you, are you refuting or bolstering his case here?
