    Thanks, guys. All this work you are putting into blinging up your barges
    makes all my Harley modification seem almost heterosexual by comparison
    (with the possible exception of my live to ride air filter trim, but
    everyone makes mistakes)

    Don't worry about it, it'll be fine, honest ;-)
    I've been through Dover, Ramsgate, Harwich etc and almost always got
    stopped if I was alone with the car. I've had the car completely emptied
    on a couple of occasions, sniffer dogs, the works. Even when I told them
    they wouldn't find anything and they were wasting their time.

    I've never been stopped on the bike.

    I don't think it's a problem in your case (may be a time limit, though).
    It's when you want to move into a house/flat that it can become
    complicated, as you have to register as a resident at the town hall.
    Then you have to have a SOFI number and of course the police like to
    know who's living in the country.
    Then the tax man becomes interested in why you have a SOFI number but
    aren't paying tax...
