Mutter Mutter......Diesels

After the comments about the Trophy sounding like a diesel outside the Black
Horse at the BOSM I decided to fettle the carbs.

Utilising the fuel tank off the lawn mower, a set of recently calibrated
vacuum gauges attached to carbs and about 20mins of effort has resulted in
the misfire disappearing, a more responsive throttle and a *much* better
idle without the aforementioned diesel impressions.

All I need to do now is give it a proper blast for a few hundred miles to
see how it performs proper like.

Next idea...............Chop it in for a more sporty
    version........Suggestions?

  3. Out of curiosity, where did you get the gauge-to-carb adaptors? I've got
a set of gauges but the adaptors don't fit the Trophy.

Er, I think they don't, anyway.....

After the comments about the Trophy sounding like a diesel outside the
Didn't need adapters, the gauge tube ends fit directly onto the small capped
outlets on the top of the carb diaphragm covers.
If you want, I can come over with mine and show you etc etc.....

  5. Brilliant. I never thought of that.....
Nah, they were balanced (by a dealer) only 500 miles ago and, like you
say, it made a hell of a diffeence. But I'll remember that for next
    time.
