    Any recommendations?

I know that's a bit like "how long is a piece of string" but
any tales of joy or woe would be good.

I've been with Bike Team for ages, and they've always been most helpful.

However, I vaguely remember something about them being bought out by
somebody, so that might no longer be true...

Been with Master Quote the last few years. Renewal has just arrived,
and is still cheaper than Auntie Carol

Each time I acquire another SOB Auntie Carole adds it to the Royal Sun
Alliance TPF&T list. Seems to be a flat rate of £30 a heap, but you are
probably wanting fully comprehensive on far from pikey sports bikes.

I've been with Master Quote for a few years now.

    Reasonably priced.

    Paperwork comes out fast and they do a four-bike multi bike policy;

    K1100, K75, ZXR750 and ST1100, about 25,000 miles between them and the
3PF&T policy costs about 135 quid a year.

They're ok with changing bikes but charge about 20 quid every time you
    do it.

    snip stuff

Just out of my general incurable nosiness - why ban refrigeration and
what particular things do you not want refrigerated?

Carole Nash has always been OK for me. Never needed to claim, mind,
    but they're cheap(ish).

    What you getting anyway?

It's big and black; a bit like Cane's bell end.

I've been offered an '08 Hypermotard 1100S with 275 miles on
it at a silly price. The accountant has approved said purchase
on the condition that I take her somewhere "hot, sunny and
overseas" at some point in the summer [1]. Just need to check that
I'm not gonna get shafted on the insurance first.

[1] The Isle of Man doesn't count, apparently.

You'll mean red, throbbing and full of stitches in that case. I've got
    your plastic panel here btw.

I'm sure the bruising will come out over the next couple of weeks.
And I need to come to yours to take photos; not of your bell end
I hasten to add. When are you free? Shall we take this conversation
to phone to save the boredom of the rest of t'internet?

I'd expected a Molly/Mel-esque binary posting or at the very least a
link to a picture on your fap-book page.

Angry, red and standing to attention. Straining at the stitches as it
    were.

    You're slipping, old man.
