Don't be a fucking moron all the time. If I, as a young teenager, could
understand the principles and ethics of the miner's strike - rightly or
wrongly - to the extent of joining people in helping them I am quite sure
Jamie can understand both the ethics and importance of principles and
    morals.

It's becoming more and more obvious you have little or no understanding
of either I'd suggest you don't comment about things of which you have
woeful amounts of experience - or at least don't judge others by your own
    pathetic standards.

[1] Jamie is probably much the same age as I was at the time - I
turned 16 in February 1984. I didn't start with the railway
until 1986. So my decision was based on my own views of right
and wrong not on subsequent politicalisation.

    Because
    a) They are not in a position to do anything
    b) If they were they would not, as mouths that are distant quieten as they
    get nearer

I think they key difference between your actions and the balaclava and
cripple them cowards is you confronted them and their parents and
basically drew the metaphorical line in the sand.

An action that wasn't routed in retribution or revenge and would take
both courage and presence. It still had the potential to go horribly
wrong but is clearly unrelated to a number of suggestions that have been
    made by others.

I don't see it as an appropriate response for Family TOG.

So, from this it appears the police are taking an interest?

  13. Late bulletin:

The plod have just phoned (Friday evening, 9.15pm).

Two of the scrotes are sitting in the cells. Some plod has just phoned
us to find out why they're banged up, because it appears they've been
arrested for something else, but when she checked the names, the pooter
    threw up the assault.

And she just wanted to check that they hadn't been arrested because of
    the assault.

    (FFS - what's happening there?)

Anyway, they're banged up of a Friday night, there's no immediate hurry,
it can take a while to sort it out, and they aren't going anywhere, and
plod can relax before charging them with whatever they feel like.

I call that a fucking result.

Oh I don't know, a couple seem to have actually got off their butts and
taken matters in hand. Takes considerable resolve regardless of what you
think about the rights and wrongs.
