A friend gave me half a pint of the stuff. I painted it on 2 cycles and the
Divvy 900. I hosed it off - the stuff works.

What is it? I saw it at £30 a gallon in Halfords. Can it be bought more
cheaply? Is there an alternative (other than hard work) ?

It's a citrus cleaner developed for mountain biking originally.
Dunno how much it is from Halfords but you can buy from a list of
    suppliers on their website:

  3. It was somewhere around Barstow, on the edge of the desert, when the
drugs began to take hold. I remember "Eatmorepies"
Most of these cleaners can be bought in small bulk (5l and25l) from
chemical wholesalers at a considerably smaller cost per litre than
    retail.

I say old bean. When you say chemical wholesalers, would mind awfully
being a bit more specific? Jolly good show.

  6. It was somewhere around Barstow, on the edge of the desert, when the
Yellow pages will (should) have a section. I discovered this by accident
when I looked at the kind of stuff the chemical stockist I buy my
biodiesel raw materials from had in stock - all sorts of gear, including
    cleaning products.

It's pretty good too, although use with care - I left some on the black
plastic air intakes on the Suzuki in sunlight for a minute or two, and it
started to eat away at the top layer, leaving an unappealing "hammerite"
style finish. I use it heavily diluted (about 5:1) and it still works fine
    on normal dirt

Ooh, thanks for that. I bought some for the mtb today and was
planning to do the GSXR with it tomorrow.
