MTX50 tuning

I just got my sons a Honda MTX50. There are two problem with it.

1. It does not idle. It's got a Keihin 12mm carb. Where do I set the
idling?

2. It is totally dead when pulling away. You have to give it a
thrashing to get going. Once it gets going and you keep it in the
power band it's ok.

It's a two stroke and I know it's supposed to smoke but this one looks
like its on fire. Is it injecting to much 2t oil, can it be adjusted,
or is something buggered?


Anybody got experience on these? Any help or tip will be greatly
appreciated.
