Once, when trawling around my machine I came across a folder which seemed to
contain transcripts of MSN Messenger sessions created automatically by
    Messenger.

I can't seem to find the bloody thing now, anyone know where such a folder
    might be located (W98SE Machine)?

    LOL

I fucking hope to find nothing like that, as the reason I asked is just to
keep a discrete eye on who my teenage daughter is chatting to.

Either search for MessageLog.xsl, or go to Tools - Options - Messages.

When I go to hospital to have my eyes checked there's a good chance my
sight will be fucked for a couple of days because of the nature of the
tests done, so I book my appointments for Thursdays and have a long
    weekend of it to recover.

Personally I reckon that snipping an entire post and adding the words
"nothing of any interest" shows that the poster isn't capable of
producing a valid counter arguement. Adding the words "as usual" just
reminds me of a school kid hiding behind their bigger mate.

I'm glad this isn't real life.

Oh, I disagree, Champ is one of the few posters I generally make a point of
reading, even if his contribution pops up in a particularly dull thread.

In this instance you are 100% correct.
I tend to forget to snip if I find myself in a conversational thread with
    one other poster.
I never had one of those, and my big brother was a twat.
    Jeez. me too.

    Yes, and so does she.

Ideally I am after some kinda freeware plug in that logs the chat sessions
to a specified folder into a word doc or summat, but a quick google earlier
    is not too encouraging.

Hmm... I've never heard of one for MSN and keyloggers are generally
    regarded as viruses, aren't they?

Hmm (again), If you've got a half decent AV, it'll get picked up and
    quarantined first chance it gets.

Have you looked on the MSN website? Maybe there's a hack that greys out
the "disable logging" radio button ;)

Oh I do trust her, it's just some of the tales she has intimated recently
about persons unknown butting into her conversations with friends that
    concern me.

I would like to be able to keep a discrete eye on things, and only intervene
if I really feel it necessary. I don't honestly expect there to be any real
problem here, and, whilst she is a fairly sensible character she can be a
little naive at times, so I feel I should be looking out for her.

    That's all.
