No, you should bloody go-go. Better to find out how fucked your noggin
    is earlier than later.

Write it on the back of your hand or something.

Probably not... but IME (of the unit at the Oxford Nuffield) they do give
you a choice of music to listen to.
They will remind you - lots. And there are signs about it too.

I think it's in your best interests really as having a lump of metal rip
itself out of you is going to smart just a tad I suspect :)

They know about those bits. It was my piercing I'd forgotten about. I
can't imagine what it must be like to have something ripped through
    your nipple.

I believe those are okay ie they are 'fixed'. So fillings, implants etc are
    okay.

It's the ones held only in skin that I believe are the issue ie
    piercings/splinters etc.

The worst would appear to be if you ever got an iron filing or something
like that in your eye and never knew... ouch.

In my case it was a relatively pain free experience as I had a knee scan
done (the flexing of the knee was not pain free but that's a different
story) - I didn't get to see the video unfortunately.

I thought they used titanium for that, which I didn't think was a
    problem.

I do have titanium, I was one of the first people to have it for
surgical useage back in late 1981. I don't know if it's affected by the
MRI scanner, but they did tell me to remove my nipple piercing which is
also titanium, so I guess it might be.

Cute, in 'uniform' and know how to handle big powerful machines - you can
    sort of see the appeal.

yeah had one of those today- and I got to choose the music. However 45
mins feeling like a drill was going through your head was not exactly
pleasant. Still got a thumping headache.

At least I only had to wait a week and a bit for my appointment. Still
I have to wait until 4th Aug for the results as the consultant is now
    on his hols.

Bugger, having that done to me recently I can say it sucks. My wait was
6 months as the cunts lost all my previous films. I hope everything
    comes out okay for you.
