Whatever we call it, it seems to have worked:

I've never been to Manila, and, even if I had, I doubt it'd be something
I'd be ashamed of.

 

Now I would've gotten THAT one!

 

Almost 9,000 vehicles burnt, 200 buildings, shots fired at police,
several wounded, one man dead.

I guess that showed 'em how to get the government's attention.

They can feel proud of themselves now, eh?...

 

No... but the government who let things get this bad _before_ doing
anything share just as much responsibility as the people who did those
crimes.

Amen. I hope it doesn't get that bad here before the gov't listens. Gov't

The govt. didn't listen when almost a million Australians hit the
streets protesting the impending war against Iraq, the likelihood of
them listening to anything more subtle that isn't in line with their
viewpoint is zero.
