Does anyone know of a shop (Southend-on-Sea) or website where I can obtain a
touch-up paint stick for my bike... just got a little mark I wanted to
    cover.

Oh yeah, bike is a 1996 Bandit N600 in red (sort of cherry red), I don't
know the proper colour name for this bike, maybe someone can enlighten me?

    Thanks chaps and chapesses, David

or Halfords (big stores only) will mix up a touch up pot or spray. But do
not use there clear coat as some have reported it not petrol resistant

  3. I usually buy the closest Halfords match I can. I've got a dozen or so
different ones, and by mixing and matching you can get pretty close.

Cheers Steve tried there first, I was suprised he said he stocks no paint at
all, never mind I will try Halfords, I was just hoping to find out the
proper colour name and order the right one... still close enough is good
    enough.

I think you may find the is Candy Cherry Pink or something similar, I had a
1997 Bandit, and got a two part paint lacquer kit from a Suzuki dealer. I
think I still have it in the shed, if it's the same colour you are welcome
to it, I think you can check the colour code by the frame number on the head
    stock, let me know.

That is a new move. And worrying.

Is Big M still in Leigh? I think they trade as M Motors these days.

The colour code will be on your bike somewhere. It was underneath the
tank on my SV and last GSXR. Then try your Suzuki dealer.

Failing that, try RS Bike Paints

Mail order but IIRC they did a perfect match of Ginge's black SV650.

  11. Reds are a bugger; no matter how close you think the match is, when you
put it on, it's always slightly different.

The colour is Suzuki Tart Lipstick, btw.

The colour code on my Bandit was:

1: In the handbook on a sticker

2: on a sticker in the under-seat compartment.

RS Bike Paint is where you want to be.

    http://www.motorbikepaint.co.uk/

I have bought spray cans and touchup sticks for several bikes over the past
couple of years and they are excellent. Their colour match is excellent and
because of the variations of coour they prefer you to pheon and discuss your
requirements rather than just order from the website. If they are satisfied
that they have recommended the right colour then I think it is guaranteed if
you find it is wrong. (Don't quote me on that though).
