probably be doing them a favour, perhaps you'll raise a point that
they hadn't previously considered. This may come as a shock to you,
but we academics are actually far more interested in facts than
you might expect!

A fairly low proportion, but it would need to be a representative
proportion, which it is generally assumed not to be, rather a
disproportionately high ratio of tech-heads. However, as time goes by and
the internet becomes more and more universally accessible, it becomes
presumably more and more representative.
