Motorcycle oil

  1. Unless it was a fully synthetic car oil, it's infinitely more likely
    that your clutch was knackered....

Oh, *that* sort of bear. I thought you meant the "do you some harm, I
    shall" variety.

    That's all right then.

Cheap oils contain less actual oil, and more actual shit that makes your
clutch slip. I run on Halfords synthetic car oil and have no such problems.

It was indeed the fully synthetic.

Bugger. Now I'm not sure which oil it was. I still have the old bottle as a
1 litre measure, but have removed the labels. It's the orange one - fully
synth? I'm going to have to check in Halfords the next time I pop in.

    Duh!

It is indeed an orange bottle. With the labels removed.

(Will check in Halford's, and reply when brain is in gear.)

Tonight, I am mostly drinking Bishop's Finger.

Naa.. that's the nearly rock bottom shit oil. The top stuff is in the
    silver bottle (full synthetic).

a link about oils and stuff.

Yeah, skinny bunch of fucks, Jedis. I reckon a good sitting on would
sort any of them out good an' proper.

(You're not going to get all predictable on me and do the 'Jabba' thing
    now are you?).

Oh bollocks that's my knowledge of star wars finished.

I'm sure there's a good joke somewhere waiting to be made about a fat
and 'easy' woman called Jabba the Slut though.

I guess that's game to the chap in the corner casting a shadow over the
    rest of the room.

I was gonna post summat like that but then thought that:

    a) I've never ridden a CG125
    b) I've never pulled a CG125 apart so don't have a clue what the clutch
    is like.

Although I suspect you're completely right.

When I was doing my bike training, one of the school's CGs could sit
there, in first gear, decent revs, no brakes, no use of clutch... and no
    movement.

I would suspect any bike subjected to learners round the cones day in day
out would end up with a fucked clutch in fairly short order.
Irrespective of what oil it has ...
