Motorcycle identity plate

  1. This is going to sound like a "He's trying to give a nicked frame a new ID"
but it isn't. Those that have read my recent posts will know that I am
throwing an absurd amount of money at a Honda 400/4.

The frame is now back from the Powder Coaters and looks better than new,
however the frame ID plate (Front downtube) which was removed before powder
coating, looks a mess when placed near the frame.

Question therefore is: Is there anyway of getting a replacement genuine; or
    bloody good replica ID plate?

  2. In a nutshell, I think the answer is "no", but SWK may correct me.

I assume that you have already spoken to David Silver Spares?

That said I'd expect that the VIN plate is the same as on most other Hondas
so I wouldn't be surprised if some American outfit would offer replicas to
    the concours bods.
