Anybody know of a motorcycle newsgroup that discusses cycles and riding?
Just wondering what the new name was.

    Private mail lists, dude.

People wanting better signal-to-noise ratios moved off Usenet years ago.
Private mailers let the admins boot certain trouble makers when they
    start flashing tin badges around.

there's nothing more irritating than someone to pop in here and tell
everyone that they aren't discussing what the one person wants to
discuss...and then the one person doesn't make an attempt at their direction
    of topics.

how about if you get a life and start discussing other topics with
riders...instead of insisting that the topics stay on motorcycles and
riding? There's only so much one can talk about when you limit it to that.
If you're not willing to join in and enjoy yourself talking with other
riders here, we'd prefer it if you just left. We have enough whiners
here....don't need anymore adding to the clutter.

TIM, I have thought the same thing B4.
Then, I realized, that motorcyclist, are
intelligent enough, to discuss other stuff.
Everynow n' then, we throw in posts about ''A Bike ride'', ''Pipes'',
''Bike tips' or a ''Bike Rally coming up'' now and then! BTW,Tim,
there's a Maudi Grau in Jefferson,Texas, that a bunch of us, are
attending. It's on Feb 5, 2005. If it don't rain, uhhhh, but cold won't
    be a problem fer us.

LOL... I'd suggest that you take a close look at rec.motorcycles.. Otherwise
... you might consider creating a thread on tx.motorcycles to discuss
whatever you'd like.. There are a few threads running on tx.motorcycles
that are discussing rides, motorcycles and repair, etc..

Noticeably.. you aren't engaged in any of those.. Maybe you'd rather just
form another "group" entirely.. Feel free..

  6. jonesin' to ride eh ? shoulda just let her sleep, easier on it than
waking it up for nothing. oh well, do -you- feel better ? :)

i just go look at the battery tender and maybe switch it between bikes.
If a mc motor is gonna be started, it ain't shutting off for at least 30
    minutes.

Thanks, I went there and found exactly what I was looking for. I might start
    up my own R1100RT/RT-P group.
I'll have to lurk for a while first.
