MOTORCYCLE DEATH TOLL Rises For 8th Straight Year!

According to The Washington Post [Aug. 23, 2006, A3], the U.S. National
Highway Traffic Safety Administration says that last year, 4,553
motorcyclists died on the nation's roadways, up 13 percent from the
previous year. Much of the blame, says the NHTSA, rests with cyclists
who refuse to wear helmets and other safety gear, their use of alcohol
and drugs, and their tendency as "hog-riders" to take risks in traffic.

I, for one, have NO SYMPATHY for these dead fools -- or for
motorcyclists and their bikes in general. During my long life, my
experience with these jerks is that they take up motorcycles MAINLY
because they view themselves as "outlaws," gutsy thrill seekers, who
don't have to obey rules of the road. (And of course you can't help
but notice that the majority of 'em are pug-ugly, red-faced, fat,
big-gutted moron losers. So they're easy to loathe.)

"Leave me be," they snarl at safety-minded citizens who try to remind
them to wear helmets and to not break road rules. But SELDOM have I
EVER seen a motorcyclist obey rules; in fact, they seem to enjoy
cutting in and out and around cars and other vehicles at high speeds
and with no regard for the safety of others! And WHEN did they EVER
    do the speed limits?

These and other negatives about motorcyclists have imbued in me a
tendency to silently ENJOY it when I read about yet another dead
motorcyclist, because he (mostly) had been speeding, biking
wrecklessly(sic), boozing or buzzing, and generally raisin' hell on the
road! I read these newspaper accounts and see reports on the telly AND
I SMILE INWARDLY, knowing this reckless dead shit deserved his fate.
And I scan the papers every day for more dead-biker stories! They make
    my day!

Call me sick or nuts or whatever, but most human beings I know (and I
know a lot of 'em)feel the same way. Because, you know, all the
"accidents" that these Neanderthals have and cause increase my and
everyone's driver insurance! And that's why, also, I secretly hope
that, in additon to the biker road-kills, the ones who survive these
"mishaps" get to SUFFER BADLY for their recklessness and disregard for
other people. I hope for big head injuries and painful internal damage
and crippling limb fractures! So, enjoy your rides, bike-boobs! See
    ya in the cemetary!

And so, I say in closing, why don't ALL you bikers, next time you get
together in Florida or another jerkoff "rally" to sniff each other's
B.O., why don't you motor out to a secluded place, gun your hogs to the
max -- and all of ya CRASH into TREES and CULVERTS and PHONE POLES at
once ... and rid us law-abiding folks of a bunch o' of the world's true
    MENACES!

Thank you! And that goes for those of you with plates in your heads
and colostomies collecting your fetid, corn-laced excrement!

I assume you clipped the above as fact and then lost your mind....
Yea, I'm sure that is EXACTLY what NHTSA said...."Hey bob, let's
isolate one segment of motorcycle riders for the fun of it ignoring all
    the others"
No one cares what you think, crawl back under your troll rock...
How about a freaking moron? Idiot? How about newsgroup troll?

  9. Yet the AMA continues to pour the majority of its funds into defending
the "rights" of these people to give motorcyclists a bad name.

I had to join the AMA to ride Idaho City and have been getting their
propaganda. They tout their victories in protecting the rights of
    "hog-riders."

    Impressive.

  12. what's wrong with colostomies? I mean, I wouldn't like WANT one, but
if that was my only choice for life, how would that make me a
    "hog-rider?"
I didn't get the "corn-laced" part - could someone explain that to me?

You are attempting to get some sense from nonsense.

  16. "Hog" (at least in this case) refers to full-size Harley Davidsons.
And while I've no doubt that some Harley riders take risks in traffic,
the majority of the risk-takers I see here in the metroplex are on
600cc crotch rockets. Not that that matters much.
I think everyone should wear helmets. And seat belts. But I don't
like the government telling me a *have to*. There may be an instance,
for example, where I have my helmet (or seat belt) off while traveling
slowly down a (public) dirt road. Maybe I'm looking for a part that
fell off my bike or something. At that point I don't want a huge
traffic ticket just because some authority figure with no common sense
    decides to be a hardass.

Not to mention the irony of requiring me and my passengers to wear
sealt belts at all times while our kids are transported in seat
belt-less school buses daily. Basically I just feel the government's
too stupid to be charged with my safety.

Also... while there is a veritable motherload of statistics
suggesting that helmets save lives in accidents, where do we find the
stats on number of accidents *avoided* due to better peripheral vision
and hearing? I'm not defending helmetless riding, I'm just saying that
aren't always as cut and dried as they might appear. As I said, I
think everyone should wear a helmet... it's just good sense.
From what I've heard about the AMA, I'm not much of a fan either. I
don't think they do much to help protect our off-road riding areas.
And they routinely screw up the MX/SX series and do little to promote
    the (off-road) sport.

As for the original poster though... you're just a big meanie. I
hope your tallywhacker falls off. ;-p

......the point being that the 'beautiful people' TV/Hollywood try to
portray as 'normal' are way off the mark....The majority of all people
fall well short of that mark (myself excluded of course...I'm just
    'upsized')

No plates in my head, but I did have a colostomy for 6 months. And not
    related to bike riding either.
