  1. i'm going to be doing the course on Monday 29th September.

anyone know someone who is doing it the same day?

also what should i practise over teh weekend so that i'm not suprised when i
    do the test.

i've been riding for a year now 40kms to work 40kms home. 1 hour each way...
    in
    all weather/night/wind .

but i want to just make sure they don't spring something on me i've not yet
    come across

    thanks

    Robbie

Make sure you can swerve at least a metre. It's the old "push the right
hand forward to swerve right" stuff. It's the only thing that peep failed
on the day I did my test.

The course varies depending on which state you're in.

  6. yeah im not to bad at the u-turn but i will give that and otehr things a
go... but as for dodging conts i haven't done much of that because i don't
have any cones lol.... closest thing would ahve to be lane splitting
    (naughty i know) :)

need more emergency braking practise. although i'd had a few cars pull out
on me... enough to make it so i setup on the brakes more then i need to just
incase the car pulls out . better safe then sorry i feel.

Mate, you keep chucking 'em over the fence, I can't help
myself but chuck 'em back. After all, otherwise we'd
get lonely here in KPs killfile.

I can't believe you didn't know what I meant by "chucking 'em over
the fence". (Actually, yeah, I missed it.)

  14. Hi Robbie,

I did my test at HART too, and found that they're fair and have excellent
instructors / testers. On the day, we esentially practiced manouvres very
similar to what was on the test, had lunch, then did the test. There were no
idiots in our group, and everyone passed.

If you've been riding a lot, you'll probably pass. Best thing to practice is
cornering (especially tighter, slow speed cornering), and emergency
breaking. That said, I didn't do any special practice bar ride my bike alot,
and I found the test fine (easier than the learners, actually). Good luck!

    Cheers,
    Mark
