I got a Bike Jack for Father's day.
Do some of ya'll have one?
It's my first. I think it'll make changing oil mucho easier.
I had to do a little riging, because a small little square motor thingy
pertruded about 1/4 inch below the black frame.
I didn't think it'd be good to jack up, and that part be in stress. So I
had some 1/4 rubber, actually a rubber door mat.
So I cut to fit around the deal, and used good ole construction Nail
    Glue to attach.
It shore duz fit good now.

Honey got mine at Harbor Freight sales, for $60 bucks. I remember when
it was hard to buy a Bike Jack anywhere locally. Ya would have to order
one. And they were a 150 bucks or more. Now even Wally World has them.

BJay - Be sure that you check the bolts on the jack - and if they're not
Grade 8 or better, then it may be worth your bike or an injury to go ahead
and make sure that they are bolts that aren't going to snap when under
load. I know HF has some cheap tools, etc - so use it - knowing that there
    may be a risk...

I bought one like that for Joe, a while back. Replace the bolts with better
ones and it should be fine. Yes, it does make oil and tire changes much
    easier.

Mine don't... Mine have 6 slashes around the hex-head - and are kind of a
golden hue in color - but I'm sure different companies may have different
distinguishing marks... I got them from True Value to replace the old
engine mount bolts on my XJ750 project bike - as one of the originals had
    broken.

We'll have that sucker rideable by winter, I'm sure! ha! Gotta stop by
Bates Cycle and see if we can pickup a good brake master cylinder from
one of their wreck piles in the shop.. the innards are all frozen up on the
original, and we can't even pull the piston out of the master cylinder
    housing....

Yes it's well worth the $12.00 or so to buy all new grade 8 bolts for
those cheap jacks. Replace them before you use the jack at all. By the
time I heard about the bad bolts some of mine were so badly bent that I
had a hell of a time getting them out. Once the bolts are replaced you
shouldn't have any problems with it as long as the locks are in place
when the bike is on it.

‘‘thanks again, No doubt uh bout it guys, I will do some
checking’’ Although I will have to say, that my SonNlaw's jack from
Wally World is a couple years old and he's used it a great deal, with no
    problems.
I'll get him to eyeball the bolts on his, to see if there's any bending
of em', that he has possibly overLooked!’’
