Culled from the moneysupermarket site, an article listing comparative
insurance prices - the cheapest and the most expensive. Although this
example is for cars (most of us drive too, right?) I assume it would
be similar for bikes. It's all just a postcode lottery, folks:

Does anybody live in one of the postcodes quoted and have experience
    of insurance rates there?

DY6 , Kingswinford, West Midlands is by me and that's quite a pleasant area.
Odd that it would be so high on the list

I live in HA1 (Harrow) rather than HA0 (Wembley) but even so, I reckon
ukp2400 *average* is taking the piss.

Must be all the young Asian lads in their Beemers.

  4. I'm amazed at the total difference between male and female. And the lack of
any NW postcodes - I'd been told that NW2 was damned expensive.

I live in BD10 (Bradford) & it is as cheap as Bradford gets, £220 for
the BMW & £480 for the Hayabusa. I'm 39 btw & dont have any bike no
    claims..................

BD9 is a fucking dump, hence the rate.

Sorry, it's for cars, the wife has a VW EOS & she pays £300 with 5 year
    ncb. She's 34. I pay £100 for the Land Rover, but it's a specialist
    policy.

I doubt it's based on how pleasant an area is though. Most pleasant area's
attract thieving shites who know the picking will be richer there, than in a
    pikey area.

I was thinking the very same. Could it be that it isn't far from the
epicentre of the UK's biggest ever earthquake for a decade (well fifteen
    years now)?

Would not the amount of young drivers have some effect on this. there's
no telling if each area had a greater amount of young drivers than
another, but maybe more densely populated areas have a higher count of
young folk, thus loading the premiums.

The house in Huntingdon that you came to more than once was PE26.
Insurance was fairly cheap there, up here in the frozen north isn't
much more expensive, but it is the north.
