One handed drift smoking the rear tyre !

 

By christ if you missed it this morning, make sure you
catch the repeat on BBC2 @ 1pm today...

 

I was a bit pissed off with Eurosport running the result on the news
ticker at the bottom of the screen, before they'd even done the replay
of the MotoGP.

Good race, mind.

I watched it on Eurosport2, but knew it would do this, so I watched it
on 16:9 mode and scrolled the screen to hide the news banner off the
bottom.

But yeah, what a cracking race.

OK I've seen it now. Yup really enjoyed that. Was it really spinning up
at the last corner or did the engine blow?!

It was spinning up. The finish line is a fair way down and he kept it
going full chat. He also got back to pit lane without any problems.

 

I'd love to see a still image of that, would make an impressive
picture.

Bloody great race!!

The two of us[1], got very animated and there was much shouting and
whooping to be heard.

Changing 'bikes' mid race was amazing!

[1] Son aged 7

 

It was.. although not all that well practiced by the looks of things.

Hopefully it'll rain more in future races.

 

I was *slightly* surprised at how far one rider had to leg it to get
to his replacement bike. I'd expected them to be pretty much side by
side.

 

....and shouting of crash, oh please crash.

We managed faster rider changes than some of them

 

I must be fucking blind. I watched it on Eurosport and never saw the ticker.

Oh yes and it seems that traction control can be pretty easily defeated.

It's the "off" switch on the handlebars that does it.

Silverstone BSB was also remarkably exciting today.
