motogp: improved aerodynamics?

    seems to me these guys dont do alot in terms of designing to improve
    aerodynamics. not so much the front of the fairing, but the area
    behind the rider.

    i realize the perfect trailing aero treatment would be some sort of
    extended tear-drop sort of fairing to keep the airflow clean. perhaps
    they've done the tunnel testing and there just isnt enough space behind
    the rider to keep the airflow neat?

    i remember yamaha/roberts in the early '80s did some stuff w/ some
    fairings behind the riders legs that kinda closed up the area under the
    seat sub-frame and the wheel.

    makes sense. just seems like they could "neaten up" that
    seat-area...but the rules are probably too restricted to do anything
    substantive.
