I don't think there will be many infield spectating areas at all , and you
certainly won't be able to wander all round the site and watch from a few
    different places on the day.

That's why I like Valencia - you can see the whole circuit from the
stands. Not been since they moved it to the end of the season though,
it's a long way to ride in the cold & rain.

You probably won't be able to do that with the re-worked track, as I
think the plan is it'll mostly be grandstands on the south side and
inside the new loop, and plebs on the outfield..

I went about 4 years ago, it was more like 50 deep, and there was a
20minute queue for the (flooded) toilets.

    Crikey, that's quite a change they're making.

Shame they're keeping the hateful Melbourne loop but at least they're
getting rid of the esses and the new section looks quite good.

I can't see why everyone hates the Melbourne Loop. No-one ever
complains about Druids at Brands, which has about the same radius, or
the tighter Mallory hairpin, so what's the big fucking deal?

Have you ever ridden Donington? I've ridden both GP and national
circuit and find them as good as each other.

The Melbourne loop was a favourite place for getting past people if
you haven't got a mega quick bike. Made it worth riding in my 250
    single class days.

I've only ridden properly at track days on the club and stow circuits
at Silverstone, though I have done a parade round the GP one.

The club circuit at least is horrible to ride IMO, featureless,
particularly coming up to the new version of Woodcote. Donington is
much more of a natural circuit.

I've only done it on the PS2, so real-world experience may differ, but
the esses and Melbourne hairpin just seem to ruin the flow of an
otherwise fast and smooth circuit. They really stand out as the
    afterthoughts they are.

Of the two circuits I prefer the GP one. You say you don't like the
esses, but on the national circuit what do you think Goddards is? All
that's different is Goddards goes right-left, and the Foggy Esses goes
left-right followed by two hairpins that are connected by two
straights. It flows no different to any other race circuit. If you want
roundy-roundy racing you should have gone to Mallory in the
pre-Edwina's days - how fucking boring did that circuit look?

    Yes, I thought I might.

Misspelling of Barcelona notwithstanding, there's this Argentinian
player see, called Lionel Messi. And he plays for Barcelona, not West
    Ham.
