Um.... as a very VERY infrequent tv viewer, I have a question - WTF happened
to OneHD, and what channel do I watch the motoGP on now???? EEEK! The Yahoo
TV guide tells me 'Sport One' - but I have no bloody idea where that is.....
Do channels actually have numbers any more, or do they all just have names,
like GO and GEM and rubbish like that?

Being of similar televisual experience, I offer the folowing with
    expectations of correction:

Ch1 (on the digitalis variety) seems to be identical to Ch 12. They're both
    showing MOTOGP buildups now.

Ch 10 (ordinary FTA) in Sydney is showing it at 10:40pm (delayed? dunno)

Aaargh! <sheepish grin>. A third attempt at pressing the remote buttons
finally found OneHD - I think I am not very good at working the remote - the
first two times I did the rounds of the channels, it somehow skipped OneHD
altogether... and being so unfamiliar with the plethora of channels these
days, I had no idea where it'd gone. D'oh! Will write a note to myself to
    look for Channel 50.

Um.... it's got footy on... where's the bike racing?

    Back to the drawing board.

Okay, I'll bite (against my better judgement) - what's an EPG button?

There are so many bloody buttons on that remote...Gawd knows what about 75
of them actually do, coz I only ever need about 3. Why do they have to
complicate things? You know, I used to like the good old channel changer
knob on the actual telly itself. And the On/off button.

betty, who found the channel and the race.
Shit, I think I'll give up putting my tips in...

    EPG = Electronic Program Guide

I think we're fast approaching the time when, due to gross global
over-population. They will need to cull the population, and the way I
think that will go in this technocratic world is that people will be
euthanased when they can no longer competently navigate their TV
remote control device. Brave new world...

I have another version of this "theory", but ... not here...

He loves it. Now only has to pick up the OEM unit when he wants to
watch a DVD, and then only to press two buttons.

My remote has more buttons then my computer keyboard, even with a
shift key. My Video Amp has a plethora of buttons and you can also
turn it over and open a hinged door on the back of the remote to
    access another 16 buttons.
