    This is a rant :)

As I do every year (for the last 10~12) I ordered Motocourse just
before Christmas - my personal present to myself. It didn't turn up,
so I chased it up in January, and was told by the book shop that it
should be a "a week or so". At the end of Jan I chased again, and got
    the same story.

Yesterday I rang the publishers, and got a call back from someone on
the production team - and was told "we hope to get it out in the next
couple of weeks". Aside from being impressed that someone at the
publishers chose to return a call to a punter, this is terrible - the
new season will be virtually underway by the time I get it.

I am still not sure if it will be published/importd to the US.
There is a company (forget the name) that claim they will
have it, or do have it. They will return emails, and last I heard
from them they woudl have it in "any day". This was in late
December. I was just planning on ordering from the UK.

Well, given that I'm *in* the UK, that's exactly what I did :)

But, surely Motocourse is sold worldwide anyway?

yeah, i noticed this from your email address.
superbikeplanet.com had an article that mortorbooks (the publisher/importer
in the USA) was not going to do it this year (and they are not). Then
later there was an article on the website saying that Concepts Inernationl
(i think that is the name) were going to publish it in the USA. Every
year before you could buy motocourse at Buy.com, BAMM.com or Amazon.com
but they are not listed this year.

Motorbooks International was the US importer for years. These guys might
    have retailed, but distributed?
BTW I have every edition of Motocourse, except one (loaned it out and never
returned). Gonna cost a arm and a leg to replace
Got the first edition for $10 on closeout, back in 1978

I am missing the first 4. I found some guy selling the 2nd edition
(along with other various non-motorcycle items) on his website
a few years back. He was only asking $50. I emailed instantly
and he said he had sold it the first day he put it up about 1 month
back. I doubt I will ever get the first 2, but I might be able to swing
    the first two KR editions.

I have every year from 1980 onwards. The 1976-79 editions sell for
silly money in the UK -(£300.00+ for 1976) too much for me.

Well, I hope so. It's still pretty unforgiveable that it should be so
    late.

Follow up : It's arrived! And is, of course, the usual thing of
beauty. All I have to do now is read it before the new seasons starts
    - I may be quiet for a while...

Does anyone know if it is available in the US (besides conceptsi)? I
assume when you said Amazon tells me it has been dispatched, you were
    talking about Amazon.co.uk?
