Mine doesn't, barring the odd comedy bits falling off.

Not necessarily. You'll have to service it, more than a modern Jap bike,
to prevent it becoming a "yes" and it'll be at least 25 years old.

But its a BMW; no class.

With its new improved handlebars and recently adjusted swinging arm the
corner speed elves are having a field day.

It will probably turn out to be not just you but I reckon you could do
with a trip to Specsavers. It is, like many of it's similarly styled

I personally wouldn't get one, but then we've got very different tastes in
    bikes.

I certainly wouldn't get one as my main bike.

    Is that more helpful?

DL650. Positively the mutt's. Has 5 hp more than the SV650 at 5500 rpm,
right where you need it on the street. Actually competent on dirt roads.

    Looks hom, though.

Yeah, what of it? So there was a Guzzi-branded 350/4 as well, using
the same Honda-based engine. Still got **** all in common with the le
    Mans models.

It wasn't me that mentioned Le Mans models in the first place but when it
comes to buying 25 year old Italian bikes I would imagine that the sort for
performance people are looking for is more in the "looking good outside the
pub" variety. Particularly an artistic tart like darsy. Anyone wanting a
high performance bike wouldn't buy a le mans (or a cafe sport) in the first
    place.

I just though the Benelli was a nice looking bike for the money, cheaper
than a big Guzzi but still Italian. I didn't realise this would throw my
engine configuration recognising ability into doubt.

This is almost exactly what I was going to post.

There's no way I'd buy a modern Guzzi, but I'd definitely consider an
old one. Can't wait to have another go on sweller's now it's got
    'proper' handlebars.

want a thumper, not a twin. Also, way too heavy to consider actually
taking off road seriously. Even the DR-Z, at 50kg lighter is heavier
than ideal - I'd *really* like an RM-Z250, but they don't do a
    road-legal version.
    indeed.

Try googling, IIRC there was some bloke who kept going *on* and *on* about
which bike(s) to replace his blade with.

[1] He appeared in DiRE a few months ago, as they helped him sort things
out. They really got _that_ bad.

I'm not convinced I have "taste" in bikes - I seem to keep changing my
mind. I'm /fairly/ sure that fully-faired race-reps are not actually
    for me, though.
    a little.

Exactly. Or a loft conversion or something else that normal people buy
and then talk about at dinner parties.
