If anyone on the group has one of these and has an opinion of it (and Guzzi
riders are certainly opinionated) drop me a line as I am thinking of getting
    one to replace the SZR660.

    The alternative is the Ballabio........

    all the best,

My neighbour has one, and thinks it is great. Mind you, his original
Guzzi was a very old one so anything would be better really.

I know TOG doesn't think much of them, why don't you organise a test
ride on the two machines so that you can compare and decide which one
    suits you best?

I've not got/had one, but I've definitely got doubts about them.I sold a
1994 Guzzi Targa in August, and the Breva is only slightly improved from
that.It has got 'reworked' heads, but it still rattles like mad, the
gearbox doesnt seem to have changed at all - it really was awful on the
Targa, and it doesnt even come with a centre stand as std..The frame
handles well, but it isnt no where near as good as my current Ducati 750ss.
If you get one secondhand at a good price, and you intend to keep it for a
long time, then it may well be a good bike - the engine does seem to go on
for a long time, but you'll be disappointed with the Guzzis performance
    compard to the Yam.
If you are after a Guzzi, then the only ones I would look at now are the
1100's.The 750's are just a little too primitive.

He's not the only one. The 750 is based on the (fragile) V50 engine.
Whereas the larger machines are based on the strong 750 (V7) engine.

    Makes sense to me...

Well, I don't know anything about them so I can't argue the toss over
    Of course.
