Oh... you mean the name... well that's a hangover from the 1950's when
the harley 'sportster' _was_ sportier than the other bikes in it's class.

No, though you did claim the VTR wasn't a tourer and have been blubbing on
about what makes other bikes this or that. There has been many assertions
that *I* think a certain way. Perhaps *you both* need the room of mirrors?
Let me guess, I'm wrong and a tourer is some sort of predefined style cause

PS I reckon the VTR is an adequate tourer (as is the Hornet) and both are
fantastic on dirt and gravel.[1].

I haven't asserted you think in a certain way, I've said catagories
exist... for independant verification check various magazines. The US
ones tend to have the most comprehensive catagorization system (very
impressive... lots of work they've put into it... oh that's right... you
don't want indendant verification LOL
