Howsabout "The Chemist" - on pitt st, across the road from the old
stock exchange. Can never remember what the real name of it is, but
it used to be a chemist in a previous life. Darren the barista is a
legend. We tried every coffee shop in the city, couldn't find another
that even came close to his coffee. The week after new year when
they took a week off was hell - no coffee!

Were they ? Must have missed that, geez I could have done them for false
    advertising then !
Well I guess on the one hand they'll lift the front with very little
provocation, but it's not hard to not do so if you don't want to, so
    it's not exactly savage.
Yeah that's kinda what I bought it for

(but forgot I didn't really get on with tourers)

I don't like doing more than 1500 kms in a day these days... I must be
    getting soft! (or old...)

  6. I Hearby strip you of your Mega-rider status!

A mega rider would never endanger themselves or others in such foolish
    acts!!

    Begone!

  7. Can you put all that in plain English (perhaps with an XL spreadsheet?).

    Is this what you do?

  8. These days, that could be anything. I'd be interested in you do find out.
Biodiesel and CNG ones are out there, though they may still be trucks (what
difference do you need for buses?) plus they are the *real* Volvos!!

I've done Briz - Adelaide in one hit, but I was 21-22 and a helluva lot
more capable of staying awake for 24hrs without sleeping. Not smart.
Couldn't do it now, no chance.

Riding Italian bikes to coffee shops and drinking coffee doesn't count
as a hobby ? Beats collecting stamps !!

Maybe so, but there'd have been hell to pay if you didn't get her
home in time, 'cos then it would have been *your* fault!

    GB, knowledgable in these matters.

No, actually *on* Pitt St, the eastern side of the street. Walk out
of the old Stock Exchange down the Pitt St steps and straight across
the road. If you don't get mowed down by a texting bus driver, you're
    there.

GB, and if you do get mowed down, you'll probably end up in a
crumpled heap at the base of the shish-kebab sculpture.
