    Hi people,

Am planning on taking my kids and some friends down to the GP this year.
(its a surprise) I'm in QLD and have no idea about how to get tickets for it
or where to get the tickets for it and of course how much they are. Id like
to get tickets opposite the trophy presentation area too if that's possible
otherwise where would everyone suggest the best place to view as much of the
    action as possible?

    Thanks in advance!

    Ps Accommodation is already sorted.

    Try here:

    www.grandprix.com.au for detals.

    Tickets are purchased through Ticketmaster 7 ( Ph: 131 641 )

    Cheers.

You can get tickets at ticketmaster or just at the gate.
I always buy my ticket at the gate.

You don't really want to be stuck in the middle of the main straight.[1]
You get to see the start and finish, but miss all the real action.

There are a lot of good spots at PI. My favourite is Siberia. You get
a good view of quite a bit of the track. Turn 2 sees a lot of action.
    MG corner likewise.

I never bother with grandstand seats, just take along a folding chair
    and move around at will.

[1] although going by the number of grandstand seats in that area, a lot
of people disagree. For me, the start/finish line is interesting for
just a few momwnts at the beginning and a few moments at the end of a
race. All the good stuff happens out on the course.

Anywhere up to $240 per person for the weekend. But don't tie yourself down
on the weekend. The best stuff can be viewed at aumoto corner. The general
    public call it Siberia.

The best bit is it will cost you jus general seating...if you tag onto
Pisshead, you can classify you as a care taker. ;)

Come and camp out at Cowes Caravan park with the rest of us. I like to
think we're a fairly good sort but then again....I'm an optimist. :p

  16. Actually, the conclusions are correct!

Head and Hand vs Mitsubishi Triton. Head won, followed by Triton, hand a
poor third... but the fractures are relatively minor and healing nicely.
Still, it will probably be a while before she can ride again - the index
finger on the right hand has one of the fractures, and it is proving
    troublesome.

Long story, basically she t-boned him. She had a green light and was moving
through it in the left lane, he was coming the opposite way and turned
right. Views on both sides were obstructed by a 4x4 in the right lane on
her side. The 4x4 had stopped clear of the intersection because of stopped
traffic in front of him (so he was doing the right thing too). The Triton
driver's first reaction was "are you alright?", second was to pick up the
Cagiva and move it out of traffic (we're ignoring the bit where he dropped
it on the other side after he picked it up..), third was to bandage up the
bleeding hand. He's been really decent the whole way.

The Cagiva is getting fixed as we speak. Just as well we've got the third
bike in the shed if she decides she wants to practice before it is fixed...

BTW we've been invited to medic at Willowbank in August for Aus Supers - see
    you there?
