    Wotcha.
Yep - she managed to hit 78.
Sadly her 78th birthday was spent in hospital - admitted the beginning
of May. They found an inoperable cancerous tumour, she then proceeded
to have a stroke, followed by some kind of 'infection', and , just for
good measure, pneumonia. Shall we say the last ten weeks have been a
    tad stressful ?
    Still, these things happen.

    there's more to follow ?

That's what they diagnosed with my mother - though I don't think that's
    what finished her off.
Dare say I'll find out before the week is up.

Anyroad - I'm going to dig the bike out otherwise I'll sit here all day
    feeling miserable ;-)

Mine did the deed last Christmas (92 yrs old) she had given us a
few scares in the years previous,
so she sort of trained us to get ready for the inevitable. Always
    on duty or what?

    Wotcha.
Whenever something 'nasty' happens, you have two choices. Either
'laugh' about it, or 'cry' about it. Whichever one you choose to do, it
won't alter what's already happened . . . so you may as well laugh. The
only downside of this wonderful plan is the strange looks you get when
attending funerals. Looks like I'd best get some practice at keeping a
    straight face.

I already looked there - and all I got for my troubles was a load of tea
leaves, which is a complete bummer 'cos I only drink coffee.
I think I may have to resign myself to not inheriting a small fortune
    ;-)
