    R1 due for MOT

Rear tyre is on the wear limit indicators but not past them, is this OK ?

Original Pipe going on tonight (tester would'nt budge on this)

I need to put a reflector on the back and something tells me this ruling has
    changed on the MOT

    i.e,
Cannot be stuck to number plate ?
Must be perpendicular to road surface ?

can someone come along and let me know whats right and whats wrong

    In
Sheese its a superbike ... treat it to some decent rubber!
It's his head on the block if he did.
Dunno, but either way it's not too hard to bodge up a bracket?

The monkey told me I was going to fail my MOT unless I "put a reflector
    on the back".

He then helpfully sold me a teeny tiny round one about 15mm diam for 50
of my English pennies, stuck it on the plate, and said, "There you go,
    she passed."

    Nice.

NB This was last December, so if it's changed since then I canna help
    ye.

I rather hoped it would - and was going to post that link myself - but
that site is out of date. There have been several revisions since
    July 2001, ityf.

Pipes being "e" marked are no longer part of the MOT.
It does however seem that reflectors are the flavour of the month. No
worries though, for 50p buy a little button reflector and stick on somewhere
    facing toward the guy behind.
Zorst is now a matter of personal opinion according to my MOTer, watch out
for number plate though! I failed for a smaller than proper plate in one
place, but passed when I went to proper moter!

WTF has the size of the plate got to do with whether the machine is safe and
roadworthy? That is kind of the point of an MOT isn't it?

Nothing - it's not part of the MoT (yet), and 'e' marks are nothing to
    do with emissions anyway.

If an RTA witness cannot read the plate (i.e. specified size) it is not
    road worthy.

The specification is there for a reason.
