Just a reminder, the MOT prices go up this Monday 1st August, so be quick if
    due.

Thus spake Alan unto the assembled multitudes:

Not at my Vauxhall dealer. When I bought my Astra 3 years ago, part of the
deal was free MOTs for life (for my ownership of that car).

I've heard that there will not be any free re-tests allowed for cars, is
this right and also will it apply to bikes?

Can't see that sticking - the first "free pre-test" will probably take
place on the same day as the new rules come in. As soon as one of the
garages or bike shops involved does it, they'll all have to or lose
business. I can't imagine any court enforcing rules that essentially
stop garages giving their time away as a promotion.

I just wish I'd got the Beemer ready in time though.

    Regards,

    Simonm.
