Most enjoyable ride for a very long time

I took the Garage Queen for MOT today. I've been putting it off and off
as I didn't want to tax the beast until the beginning of May. I of
course chose a less than convenient MOT station so I could get a decent
ride out.

As the bike hadn't turned a wheel for over a year, and because it's
nearly 20 years old (am I in the right group), I decided to take it
easy, and that lasted for getting on for half a mile.

By the time I got to the test station, I knew full well that the tyres,
suspension and brakes were all in full working order, and as I'd checked
the lights before setting off.

The trip home was more sedate and thoroughly sublime, the SOBoxer engine
thubthubbing and the sun shining. More enjoyable by far than the
frenetic trip there. Lovely.

Gave it a post MOT wash when I got home and on opening the pannier
discovered the old tax disk. Valid until end June 07.

Bugger.
