Adrienne M Bonwick wrote Can we please stop this habit of referring to bike essentials and calling them cheap or cheaper? It is wrong and you know it.
they might be essentials but this place are at least a tenner per tyre cheaper that the rest I've seen (like FWR, busters, M&P) so cheaper it stays. -- Adie (replace spam with nickname to reply) UKRM FAQ: http://www.ukrm.net/faq/ Triumph 955iSS / GSF1200 bandit / CG125 MRO#11 BOTAFOF#7 BOTAFOT#130 DIAABTCOD#17 MIB#24 YTC#16 BOB#15 ex-UKRMMA#22 BOMB#11
But the word 'cheaper' is relative isn't it, so it's OK to use. I agree about the use of 'cheap', however..... Dave
steve auvache says... 'More affordable' is a term I prefer to use with my customers when I'm selling. If I'm buying I want it fucking cheap.
WavyDavy wrote Yebbut cheaper implies cheap in the first place, which it ain't. It is like lifesavers and shoulder cheques.
<takes bait...> Not necessarily. A Jag Super V8 is about £70,000. But it is still cheaper than a Bentley Continental GT. Although I will concede that, perhaps, 'less expensive' would be a more apt phrase, 'cheaper' is an accurate enough word... Dave PS. What happens when shoulder cheque bounces...?
Yep, Tyres turned up next day and were the right size and sort. I alternate between them and FWR and haven't noticed a difference other than the prices.
(Unless your DIYing it...) Yebbut there's fitting to be added on with loose tyres. Local to me they want £15 a wheel plus vat. -- Regards from Mike Barnard '96 Yamaha YZF1000 Thunderace in red, white and grime. Worthing, West Sussex. UK. true but the place closest to me wants £64/pair more for the same tyres. as I've just put an order in for 9 tyres that's a large amount of money. -- Adie (replace spam with nickname to reply) UKRM FAQ: http://www.ukrm.net/faq/ Triumph 955iSS / GSF1200 bandit / CG125 MRO#11 BOTAFOF#7 BOTAFOT#130 DIAABTCOD#17 MIB#24 YTC#16 BOB#15 ex-UKRMMA#22 BOMB#11
<fx sees the point> 9 tyres? Busy year ahead? -- Regards from Mike Barnard '96 Yamaha YZF1000 Thunderace in red, white and grime. Worthing, West Sussex. UK. [To reply by email remove ".trousers" spamtrap from email address]
three each for my trumpet [1] , Andy's 9R [2] , pair for the bindit [3] and one for MattG. so at the mo we've ordered three extra, all of which will likely be used later in the year but you tend to get better deals on buying three rather than two. [1] 010s, two rear one front, in desperate need of a rear [2] 207RRs, two rear one front, needs a pair [3] Avons, has a nice 1mm x 15mm x 3mm (deep) hole in the rear from a flint and I'm not sure what tyres are on it but they're shit. -- Adie (replace spam with nickname to reply) UKRM FAQ: http://www.ukrm.net/faq/ Triumph 955iSS / GSF1200 bandit / CG125 MRO#11 BOTAFOF#7 BOTAFOT#130 DIAABTCOD#17 MIB#24 YTC#16 BOB#15 ex-UKRMMA#22 BOMB#11
