Hertz gave me a Prius last week. It's a fucking dreaful car. A
colleague summed it up: "it would be a good car for someon who doesn't
like cars", which amused me.

You have to think along those lines - 'it's not a car, it's transport',
then it doesn't seem too bad.

It's bloody awful if you're on a twisty A / B road, but it's very good
doing a constant speed on motorways and in traffic. (Very quiet with
cruise set somewhere around the 10%+2mph mark on motorways, and piss
easy to drive in traffic)

Ultimately, it's a business tool, that does the job at a significantly
cheaper cost to me than any of the alternatives.

Most of our private miles are done in the 156.

 

**** me - but Lisa Bonet was fucking hot in her day[1] - did you ever
see "Angel Heart"?

[1] if you like that sort of thing, it explains the insanity of my
former marriage, as my ex was almost a spitting imagine of la bonet at
hier prime.

 

I found it utterly ghastly in every respect.

The cost to me (the firm) was the same as any of the other cars in
that class from Hertz, so I'll ask not to have another.

 

Definitely a babe.

Our local town has the Roadworks From Hell at the moment, so the back
lanes where I live are clogged with people who are trying to avoid them.
Of course, they're not used to driving on back lanes and either drive up
the middle of the fucking road, or get annoyed if you overtake.

Dead boring, it is.

Well, I'm expecting another bout, altough it's more the unscientific
"it snowed hard early Jan last year and then it did it again in Feb"
