The range is good, did it at work last night, at least 90-100m away,
    clear line of sight.

This one doesn't require line of sight. Hence I don't usually bother
    with the timer.

took a blunt brush and painted...
Heh, didn't you sit on the wall watching them, smoking?

I left the house to go to work. Snow over ice on all side roads.

Traffic backed up almost into the estate right from the main road roundabout.
Couldn't see any reason why, there just seemed to be 4 times the amount of
    traffic not going very far.

Heard a report on the radio saying that anywhere with a slight hill was just
gridlocked as no-one could get up the hills, lots of main roads closed and a
bus had fallen over near me.

Took me 20 minutes to get the the doctors / chemists (in Walnut Tree),
decided taking hours to get to work wasn't worth it, turned round and went
    home.

I guess that means you're going to skip the Elefantentreffen this year.

You forgot to mention the temperature, is it too hot ?

I'm looking out of the window at more fucking snow falling. Quite

Except it just freezes where it's gone onto the drive/road whilst you're
out so you come back to an ice rink. Don't they have de-icer up norf?

Too low, too hard, insufficient compliance - just to start with.

Ideally for snow you'd want tall, narrow tyres with a chunky pattern
and soft, long-travel suspension: not too good on a track day. Horses
    and courses, innit.

Stop worrying. It was seriously hot on top of Table Mountain at midday
today but I felt much better for my dip in the pool and cold beers.

We must be luckier than we thought because one of the original ideas
was to spend the last couple of days on the other side of False Bay
but some muppet got himself eaten by a Great White yesterday so the
    beaches are closed over there.

The radio stations seem to be of the opinion that it's hardly anything
to be upset about, shit happens if you go in the sea etc and I do find
myself wondering if that's because the snack came from the Democratic
Republic of Congo so may not have been as white as the driven snow.
    Not much changes over here...

Remember in Africa the blacks can tell other blacks apart and hate certain
    blacks more than whites. IYSWIM

Have you ever had a Pisco sour? I'd never heard of the stuff till I
was there a month or three ago. Fucking lovely, they are.

I got the wanker gesture **** knows how many times over the summer for
nothing more than overtaking on perfectly clear roads. Some people are
obviously of the mind that whatever speed they're doing is the speed
everyone elso should travel at. And *they* flip the "wanker" sign.
