    Always good, that.

A couple of years ago, myself and a fellow repmobile driver had a nice
20-ish mile 'spirited' drive through mid-Wales.

Always amuses me - I get loads of flashes after perfectly safe, and
sometimes even legal, overtakes on my way in to work most mornings.
Oddly enough, in the snow [1] it seems to be more acceptable, as I
didn't get a single flash this morning.

[1] We've got quite a lot of it here, with another 7-8cm falling this
morning between my first coffee at 0720 and leaving for work at 0915.
Good job I remembered to press the little remote to pre-warm and
    demist the car this morning.

It wasn't the speed you were doing, it was the car you were driving.

Fucking schools, got a text this morning school was open, went out to
sort cars, slipped on ice thought my arm was bust. Sat in pain for a
while, then gets a text saying school closed due to ice.

that annoys the **** out of me. I fairly often get flashed both by the
car I've overtaken and one coming the other way.

Look: noone crashed, or came even close to it - what's the problem?

Actually, just this morning I overtook[1] 4 cars in one go - haven't
done that in a while. The "lead" car (doing 35-40mph in a NSL zone)
wasn't at all happy - multiple flashy lights as I left them behind...

[1] Nice little bit of road (between M25/J24 and Botany Bay) but so
many wankers feel the need to drive slowly on it.

I suppose she has never had the opportunity of playing in the snow -
there is simply too much traffic nowadays, or barriers in front of
    places suitable for playing.
(1981 IIRC - me, my Minivan, large empty outdoor car-park covered in
voigin snow, and it was great fun sliding around and generally getting
    a feel for things.)

That might have been one of the Scrote brothers on his way to a
    bankruptcy hearing.

Around here, it is not unknown for cars to wave somebody past if they
want to get a move on (but this is a civilised part of the Country where
    Old-Fashioned manners still exist).

  11. It was 26 degrees C, sitting outside, last night. Rather fine.

I'm preparing for a mercy dash for a friend who has almost run out of
coffee filters and second thoughts are rapidly creeping in.
To get stuck in a drift and have to explain to some Central TV reporter
why and how I got there .... no!

The bloke who lives opposite me couldn't get his merc on his drive even
though the kerb is dropped and the drive is flat. Me and the missus watched
him like he'd watched me and her reverse both our cars onto our drive over a
    fucking snow bank.

He asked me later on "How did you get your cars on the drive?"
That was exactly what I thought.

Time setting, yes, and multiple programs too, although the range on
the remote control is amazing, so I just plink mine from inside the
house when I get out of bed. It gives a green light if the car's
received the signal, or flashes if it hasn't.

Not sure why you'd want a separate temperature control, but I'd guess
mine would just use the climate-control settings anyway.

You can't do that from inside the house, though.
