    Harleys are there?

    What tightening did they do? The current rules seem to have the same
    emphasis on "specialist and enthusiast vehicles" as I remember.

    Looking at the Act http://www.comlaw.gov.au/Details/F2010C00356 maybe
    it was the numbers that stopped them? Or is it the date requirements
    in section 24? Must admit I couldn't be
    arsed checking the differences between that and the previous versions

    Remember, US Harleys are designed to run on the other side of the
    road. If you bring them over here, you need to swap the foot pegs from
    one side to the other and turn the front wheel around the effect of
    the road camber.

    .... also, I believe you have to have owned the bike in the US for more
    than a year before you can apply to bring it back into Aus.

  10. Unless you buy something old you're not bringing back a new HD with you.
    Check out the import laws regarding bikes. A yank bike won't confirm
    to australian ADRs. It is a minefield.
