I currently have no plans for Wed. evening so I should be good to go.
The ONLY thing that might hold me up is that I am re-building my folks
PC for them and I have to get it done before I go out of town, but I
don't think that will be a problem.

That is good news to me, pard.. I have just been advised that the meeting
is scheduled for Wednesday on the 21st.. I'd welcome introducing you to the
members of that Chapter and I am sure that you will find at least a couple
of fellow Republicans to co-miserate with, while the rest of us old
    Democrats do our thing... LOL...

Otherwise, you should feel right at home with a group of men and women who
share the same enthusiasn for motorcycles that we all do.. We can do a hook
up and go together or we can meet somewhere else.. Your choice..

    Man...oh man...I am NOT a republican. I am an independent.... I'll
admit that I tend to side with the conservative / republican viewpoint
    more times than not.
When and where? Depending on where it is will determine on how we get
    there.

This is why I suspected we had a bit of miscommunication going. I'm
not *for* socialism, nor appearing to argue for it. I read through
your definitions and couldn't think of a single democrat that was for
corporations being in sole control of society. On the contrary,
democrat's views are to empower the people to work for a better
society. This is in stark contrast of what you were talking about. By
empowering the people, you DO build a better society by giving them
something to work towards. Republican's views tend to be that of
empowering corporations to have control over the people which works
against society as a whole. It betters the upper class, but doesn't
give people something to work towards.

I can give many examples of what I'm saying, but I trust you
understand and we'll leave it there.
Yeah, Yeah, Yeah...I'll race you to Hico for some pie...last one there
    buys...how's that? :)

I'm STILL looking for some boots that I can wear and be comfortable
with. I'm looking around for some Joe Rocket boots, but can't find any
on the shelves to try on...and I don't trust enough to mail order
them. I've found the Sidi boots, but they just don't seem to have the
    flexibility I'm looking for.

I had never seen either movie. I'm a big Candy fan, but when he died
on the set of Wagons East and then they released it...I just never
wanted to see the last movie he did.

The worst movie I thought he ever did was JFK. That's probably because
the only part he had in it was a problem with his props. He was
wearing sunglasses and then stood up from the table. As he was
standing, the glasses were gone. When he got to a standing position,
the glasses were on again. Sorta like the Sean Connery collar in
    Untouchables.

Anyway, I remembered the day Candy died and that's how I knew which
movie it was...sorta like asking someone what they were doing when
Kennedy was shot or the Challenger blew up.

I was actually looking forward to it until I saw the extended trailer
this past weekend before seeing "King Arthur". They have to dick with it
and turn it into one of those "kids save the world" scripts where all
the adults are in the first 10 minutes and then they go off on some
tangent with a 12 year old.

  9. "Malcom in the Middle came after both of those and is inspired comedy.
It seems like Fox takes their best stuff and piles on Sunday night.
Other than that, it's COPS reruns.

the reality shows of all stripes are low production cost network time
killers geared for the lowest common denominator in viewers.

ROTFLMAO... You are way late... Trash.. I have posted my address and phone
number on this group many times.. Hmmm.. However, your information isn't
quite accurate.. I don't live near Story Rd. nor Walnut Hill... Feel free to
give me a call anytime.. Nothing I'd enjoy more than a good long, late night
visit with you.. Matter of fact.. you have a personal invitation to drop by
any time.. Looking forward to that.. BTW.. you did manage to get the
telephone number right.. I'm in the book..

Quite appropriate description of you, as it turns out.. Seems odd that the
"killfile" that you constantly bleat about, inspires you to research
archives to dig up old postings of the one you claim to have killfiled..
    LOL..

The post you reference is interesting and in "context" would be even more
interesting.. How about it, Trash.. Wanna get into what prompted that post
    by me ??

If you are trying to justify your comments about "molesting" my son, you are
failing, miserably.. If you are attempting to rehabilitate your detestable
image on this newsgroup, you might consider an apology for that disgusting
    comment..

I expect neither an apology nor any indication that you have a speck of
    decency.. Your choice..

have been "killfiling" someone since "I can't even remember".. That's funny
because all the time I am in your dumbassed killfiles, you both keep jumping
in here to take cheap shots... ROTFLMAO.. I sure wish you and that trashy
bastard would both learn how to work a killfile.. Both of you put together
wouldn't make a pimple on a biker's ass.. "Group Hug" and "God Bless"

Corporations? Where did you get that? Socialism is more about the
govt. being in control and dictating what happens on a financial level
    than a corporation.
I don't have any problem with that, but when you take money or goods
away from the people and give that to other people in a forced act,
that is socialism by govt. intervention. When my tax dollars go to
welfare programs, or medical services for people that refuse to work
or contribute to the good of society, that is socialism. Democrats
typically favor these types of programs.

Socialism, in my opinion, does not encourage people to build a better
society. It discourages me because I am pissed off about the govt.
taking my money away and giving it to some schmuck and it demoralizes
and creates apathy for those that are receiving money from the govt.
(why should I work? the govt. gives me more money if I squeeze out a
    kid and stay here)

I dunno about the whole empowering corporations thing - I think it's
more to encourage people to work for what they want, and if by making
yourself a successful business then by all means do it.

However, that doesn't mean that I agree with empowerment of
    corporations. ;-)

A real race? Should be interesting.... LOL
What do you mean by flexibility? In literal terms or from the
perspective you want to wear them at work and stuff like that?

Last time I checked, Story Road runs north and south. Walnut (Walnet)
Hill crosses Story somewhere around Las Colinas. Hmm, you didn't tell
me you moved to the $300,000 home district!!!

Can I move back in with you????

The old "killfile him" crap again.

Hey, Nurick! He's been claiming to have killfiles in place. Maybe you
might consider teaching him how your patented killfile works...because
anyone not intelligent enough to know from a map which way is up, sure
can't figure out anything as complicated as your patented killfile!

Sounds like an issue with your employer. Mine has a really excellent
CfC (Combined Federal Campaign) is the fed version of UW. Their offices
are often the same and their personnel shared. One deals with public,
the other privately sectors. IOW: Their basic operations are the same.

Their funding to each charity has a target goal. If one (popular)
charity reaches that goal then funds no longer go there; they spill over
into other (less popular) charities that haven't yet hit their targets.
This would be fine if it was from the general (non-specific) donations.
However this is not the case. I worked with a guy whose mom died of
cancer, so he gave specifically to the big (popular) cancer foundation.
He got a thank you card back (with the amount stated) from the sickle
cell anemia group. He was furious and contacted CfC (ie: UW) and
verified that the above stated process was their policy.

I give directly to charities now to avoid that and the shared that
CfC/UW takes off the top for their cut.

I have to say, this is the most BIZARRE thing I've ever read in this
newsgroup. I have to ask, what city is this that you're in and work
    for?
I can NOT believe some people would sit and tell off on themselves
this way...while making comments of others in the way that has been
    done.

We could designate target donations too. These guys did just that. Their
problem was they picked a popular charity that met the UW/CfC designated
goal for that year and had additional funds flowing in, over and out to
other charities that hadn't yet met their goals.

I think if you press them about where ANY extra monies go, after a
specific charity has met its goal, you'll learn differently. Once a
specific charity meets its goal, no new monies accumulate unless ALL
charities meet their goals; even if some of those new funds are targeted
donations. Press hard and don't let them try to deflect your questions
listen to HOW they answer your question and reword your question to get
to what they really do and not let them dance around it with non-answers
    to tricky wording.

This was verified both in the military and in the civilian world in VERY
different geographical locations. People with targeted contributions had
their donations redirected to other charities and couldn't get them
    corrected after extended efforts.

The CfC and the UW are one organization separated by a few small
regulations. I know. I did the web site for a multi-county CfC effort
that was then used for more than 5 years. I saw their network and web
infrastructure while working with their local IT person (who didn't know
FTP or much of anything else). During that time I learned a lot about
how they do business because she didn't know enough to answer my
questions and pretty much handed me the keys to their system to set
things up. I also learned that they are about as slimy a bunch of people
as I've ever worked with. After the first year, they used my web design
verbatim after removing any credit to me from the pages. The trick was
that I just saved their on-line pages, showed the "written by" in the
source code that still had my name in it. Their IT person didn't know
how to edit HTML so was just using something like Publisher to update
the body test all those years. I only asked that they mention "original
design and concept by..." somewhere on their site. It's not like I was
asking for money and it's not like they hadn't been using it for 5
freaking years before I called their hand on it. Heck! The cotton
picking body text was unchanged except for the board member names as
they shuffled around the different positions over the years. Their
reaction to my very civil letter, asking for continuing credit (in such
an innocuous manner as mentioned above) was the take the site down 2
days after receipt of my certified letter. Real honest, caring,
honorable people - huh? I was more than happy to contribute to their
efforts even after knowing how they did their funding because I knew my
labor and where it would be applied. I was wrong even about that.

Yeah. I've been told the same thing for the past 30 years. Reality is
    quite different.
See above. I wouldn't suggest to my worst enemy that they bend over and
take a second butt fucking without fighting back.
