Wrong. It is unlawful for an employer to treat you any differently
(discriminate) for membership of a union or union activity.

and representation.

If the workforce wish a union to be recognised as a negotiating body
then the employer has to recognise it.

The procedures to achieve this are complex but do make it mandatory
for an employer to recognise.
