videos - the one where she is a mannequin and crashes through a plate
glass window - in our horribly decrepid Central Arcade in Walthamstow.
The place is now boarded up and due for demolition - I am unclear as to

Seems I made the mistake that most people would have had an interest in
the World Cup and / or watched the sports news at least occasionally.

 

I fear you're missing my point: "his abundant inventiveness" would not
necessarily ensure his notoriety, especially amongst those
disinterested in football, in a country:
A) for whom he does not play football, and
B) in which he does not earn his living.
