You know, Ace does this *so* much better. You need your own act, really.

Find someone who is a member of the Communist Party of Great Britain
(Marxist/Leninist) Ltd. Pretend to be really interested in what they
are doing but not the sort who wants to be "active iyswim" and they will
put you down as a "Friend of The Revolution." Now you have got yer name
on the list and when the revolution comes they will come round and give
you one. I am down for a semi automatic and a truck load of bullets.
Bit of a bummer though if we don't actually get to have a revolution I
    always thought.

Oh bugger, I suppose I'll have to fire up google to find out who the
**** it is you're all talking about...

Oh. A no-brain, talentless, ugly, manufactured popstar?

As it happens, I got the Zidane bit, so it was _vaguely_ amusing
without knowing of the singer. And then I actually looked her up.

    Must be losing my touch.

  13. I had actually heard of the tart, purely because the mention of the name
seems to encourage grown men to masturbate openly in the pub. Didn't
know who she was though. And the footy reference went straight over my head.

I thought just about everyone would know who Zidane was - given that
he's one of the most prolific footballers of the moment.

Well, there are plenty on this NG that follow neither
'popular' culture nor footbal so it wouldn't really
    suprise me.

FWIW, I do follow football and had heard of SEB but didn't
know the song reference, so had to have this paricular
joke explained to me when I was told it in the pub last
night, so I'm not in any real position to judge anyway )

I thought she looked quite good in the vid for murder on the
dhancefloor, but I'm not sure on her current look.

Anyway, Holly Valance is far superior.

I don't have a clue who he is, and I can't recall hearing the name
before. It must've seemed inconsequential at the time if I did.

Unless you followed the World Cup or have seen Real Madrid on the
box recently then there's absolutely no reason why you should.
It's not as if he's in the paper every five minutes like some
    footballer's I could mention.

AOL, I'm not really keen on the 'airplane blonde' look myself. There's
still time for her to grow older and look like her mum mind.
She doesn't do anything for me, to stereotypical.
